I'd say that is a widespread problem. From my experience, there is
little comprehension of the differences between CLE, CLC and IBCLC. In
fact, it is often assumed that an RN has the same qualifications as the
above! I have also run into the problem of a hospital preferring to stay
"in-house" with their lactation staff, regardless of experience and
quality, or should I say in ignorance of the value of experience and quality.
