HI All,
I get the same thing and it is frustrating. I am honest with a mom who says
"You remember me, don't you?" If I haven't talked to her in several months
or longer, then I will tell her, "Well, your name sounds familiar, but I
talk to so many moms that it is hard to match up specific situations with
specific names. Refresh my memory and tell me how things are going for
you." If I have talked to her recently, and recognise her name, but can't
pinpoint her situation, I tell her so. ""Hi, so and so, how are things
going? I am really sorry, but I talk to so many moms, it is hard to
remember each ones specific details. Refresh my memory a bit, would you?"
Usually by the time they givee me a few details, I am able to recall their
situation and can say "Oh, yeah! Now I remember! " and then go on with the
conversation. Most times the moms are understanding, especially if I remind
them that I talk to many moms.
Hope this helps!
