Dear Kathy,

This may be a shot in the dark, but I wonder whether the mom has been 
assessed for allergies. Her symptoms sound a lot like those of my son, who 
has severe nasal allergies (dust mites and a wide variety of pollens). 
Allergies can develop at any age and, of course, pregnancy is an 
interesting time for the immune system.
