The research in the area of relactation does not support the idea that test
weighs are at all necessary...where relactation is successful, just feeding
frequently has done the trick. Relactation is very simple and where the babe
is willing to feed frequently, is also very easy. The pain is where mothers
need to pump because the baby is not suckling (BTW, I've been there and done
that with a nearly 6 year lactation gap, could only manage 6x a day pumping
and none overnight and it worked quite well. I usually say that 8+ pumps a
day inclu once overnight is ideal, but you have to be able to live! and that
can mean that less than ideal is what happens)
