My name is Shanda Lear-Baylor, CLE, IBCLC. I am the author, executive
producer and director of the Breastfeed Ya' Baby rap video.

So glad you like the Breastfeed Ya' Baby rap!   At the Lactation
Institute, we are very proud of it. I have been working on it since 1994!

You will see that you can't click on the link anymore. We are so sorry.

It was hosted on my personal website www.slecorp.com and not on the
Lactation Institute website because I had more webspace than the Institute
and I can manage the text about the rap on the website.

Yesterday we had 4109 hits on my site to hear and view the rap. I never
expected that many hits and I don't have the broadband capability to
manage that much traffic! The preview link was passed on to a couple of my
friends at the Breastfeeding Taskforce of Greater Los Angeles to review. I
didn't expect it to be broadcast.

I will try to upload soon a smaller file of a portion of the rap.
Personally I would love it to be available to all, but I'm told that to
manage that amount of activity the size of the broadband necessary would
cost $30,000 to $35,000.

At the moment we are in post-production of the animated video DVD. We
should be ready with it at the end of May. Do you think anybody would
still want it in VHF format? What other formats would we need for
Australia, the UK etc.?

Could you please tell me hotline numbers in the UK, Australia and other
areas that you think mothers should know about. I will add the telephone
numbers to the credits at the end of the rap.

The proceeds for the sale of the rap will go towards other projects that
we, at the Institute, have to promote breastfeeding.
