Hi Kim,

I do not know where you are located, but we have a 25 bed NICU with 1 FTE
strctly for lactation. We know we are VERY fortunate (I keep waiting for the
budget axe to fall) however she does occasionally help on the maternity side
and with outpatients. In addition we have a triage (observation nursery)
that near term, sepsis workups, respiratory, TTN's go to and she is very
helpful in getting them to the breast if at all possible. She works
day/evening shift and does occasional weekend/holiday hours, but no one is
in lactation 24/7 - just daily/ Our birth rate is about 2800-3000 per year.
