I have been asked to clarify that the mom is working with a woman who is an
MD and an IBCLC. It was not as an LC that she was prescribing any
medications.

I am also only working with this mom on an email list. I do not plan on
advising this mom to discontinue her current treatment plan. I was simply
curious about the use of bactroban for yeast.

Thanks
Jenn

A mom that I am talking with has been diagnosed with yeast and was given
these instruction by her LC. "apply a small amount of bactroban (mupirocin)
ointment to the area that the baby's mouth covers. Mupirocin is both
antifungal and antibacterial."
