     Thanks for the peak at the NBC Web site.  Here is a copy of my .02
worth:

In reviewing your 12 month web site, I couldn't help but notice your comment
about self-led weaning at 12 months.  It has been my experience that self-led
weaning usually takes place at 2-3 years, sometimes 4.  Also, bottle-feeding
children will continue using the bottle to these ages as well.

     It appears to me that  your site reflects the recommended age for
breastmilk and formula use according to the American Association of
Pediatrics--not the actual physical development of the child.
