HI All,
I would like to know what the standard reccomendations for early pumping for
premies is. Paula Meier reccomends frequent pumping (like q 2hrs around the
clock, I think?) for the first 2 weeks to bring in a good supply, then
slowing down a bit (q2.5 hrs day and 3.5 hrs night) so mom can get some
rest. Is this standard for all over?
I have a mom with a 29 wk premie and would like to give her the best
possible info.
Please give me your ideas...TIA!
Jay
