Another thought occurred--MOM are 2 to 3 times more likely than the mothers
of single infants to be affected by postpartum depression (and probably other
postpartum mental and emotional disorders, e.g. PP anxiety disorder PP
obsessive-compulsive disorder) in the first two years after birth, and a
MOM's apparent "drive" for scheduling in spite of any infant's continued
distress may be a symptom of such.
