my name is hannah herod i work as a midwife and i am at present doing a
recognised course for the iblc exam. my patient has  crohns disease and
is medicated when not pregnant with lomotil. when she baby was born
early in the night i put the baby to the breast and he did very well.
the patient stated when the last baby was born she was not allowed to
breast feed because of the lomotil. i can not find any evidence of this
and i promised i would have the experts look into this before she was
remedicated with lomotil. it is 0820hrs here in sydney australia, i need
a reply if possible by 1700hrs sydney time to day before she is reviewed
and once again remedicated. many thanks for your expert advice, i'm a
lactnet addict already, wouldn't miss it for anything.
