Several years ago, I heard a great talk at a health professionals
conference by Dr. Chester Berlin, who was, at that time at least,
involved with the revision of "The Transfer of Drugs and Other
Chemicals into Human Milk" at the AAP -- an organization your audience
would have heard of. It would be great to have your doctors hear his
strong statements about how doctors should respect and preserve the
breastfeeding relationship. It was also an extremely well-organized,
well-illustrated step-by-step talk -- with a good groundwork on how the
breast works, how drugs transfer, different categories of drugs, etc.
And he was quite charming and humorous too.
