Did anyone hear the NPR Fresh Air yesterda? A woman author was discussing
the busy lives of parents...and how they cope. One thing she mentioned was
that well-off, overstressed parents often "outsource" thing, such as kids
birthday parties, etc.

Are we witnessing, as well, the phenomenon of women "outsourcing"
mothering/breastfeeding? Isn't that what bottlefeeding is all about?
Interesting idea... The script of the Fresh AIr is probably available on
NPR's web site, www.npr.com [I am guessing here.] The author had written a
book, and had studied a Fortune 500 company, and parental behavior there.

Now, for another interesting tidbit..my vet tells me that there is a new
procedure for dogs who, um, have had their testicles removed, or have not
ever had them come down. My corgi, Ollie, never had his testicles come down,
and so, apparently, there is this new product...

It is called Neuticals. It is a cosmetic testicular implant for dogs. If
your dog is suffering from a poor self image due to the fact that someone
nipped his testicles, you can have the vet implant Neuticals into him, to
make him look more like a real dog. Makes me think of breast implants? : /

Ha! Kathy D, what does this mean, culturally?

: D GOing to ask Ollie how his self-esteem is... : D
