<<Dr. Craig said the standard dose is 10-20mg TID-QID, maximum 40mg QID. H=
e
said there were women who, like I said, assumed "Some is good, more must =
be
better," and increased their own dosages without consulting their MD, hop=
ing
for more milk output. He mentioned women taking doses as high as 400 and=

500 mg, but I can't imagine such naivete with prescription (or any) medic=
ation.

I admit it was news to me as well...OTOH why would he lie? He's extremel=
y
pro-breastfeeding and I've referred many patients to him for help with
inducing or augmenting lactation. He happily and freely wrote scripts fo=
r
Dom, until the last local compounding pharmacy gave in under FDA pressure=

and stopped offering it.

Maybe my cynical reasoning was accurate after all, that there's no money =
in
breast milk so the Big Guys took the magic milk-making pill off the marke=
t
and tossed out a lame, truthless excuse. Anyone else hear anything?>>

While I have no reason to not believe Dr. Craig, could this be a *story*
that is being circulated by the FDA to give them a reason to confiscate
Domperidone like they do cocaine? (I mean -- this company needs to get their
priorities RIGHT!). That said, if it IS true -- where are the articles on the front
page of the Wall Street Journal? I don't know that any of us have heard
anything about this until Debbie posted the other day....

I want to see the case studies of the women that took this horrendous amount
of Domperidone and had problems.

Have you noticed Tylenol taken off the market -- even though some misguided
people take an overdose in an attempt to commit suicide?

What about Viagra -- in which there HAVE been deaths, even with men taking
the appropriate amount.

Fox News missed this story? CNN? CBS? NBC? ABC? New York Times?

Hmmmmm. I smell yet another small mouse.....

And no, I'm not faulting Dr. Craig. I am wondering where he got this
information, and if it was really true.....
