We were (still are?) using a pain assessment scale and were (still are?)
recording this in baby's chart.
I need to check to see if the nursery is still doing this or if it has been
slowly 'forgotten'. Will report next week.
The verbal reasons for an immediate bath in our Transition Nursery are: 
1) mother wants her baby clean, and 
2) nurses don't want to keep gloving to handle the 'dirty' baby.
... all those infectious / dirty body fluids / products all over baby, like
vernix ...
