I am a military spouse and I breastfed my children through toddlerhood all
over the world -- USA, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Norway, Sweden,
Italy, Portugal, France and other countries I cannot think of I am sure. I
never once had anyone say anything to me anywhere except some friends
asking the usual question of how long I was going to do that. In Korea, the
female storekeepers in the markets were always so excited to see me
breastfeed they would offer me a stool and gather around with oohs and
aahs. In many respects, I think it is attitude. I always wished someone
would tell me not to nurse, so I could tell them to go away and mind their
own business. Never got the opportunity ... LOL!
