Hi all,
I received an update from the desperate mum of the 17-month-old whom 
I posted about 2 weeks ago and she would like me to pass this on to 
you all. She writes:

<<Just thought I would update you quickly... and then I need sleep!
L was seen by the paed at (hospital) again, and she has turned out to 
be really good. He is weaning himself, and I am thinking that weaning 
may be complete within a month. The paed wants to do a full 
development test on him, and is sending out more blood test stuff. 
She has also given me a form for a carer's allowance from Centrelink 
(government agency providing financial assistance).
Thank you so much for you help. At first reading some of the 
responses was a little scary, but then I realised that it was all 
just proof that I couldn't give up on him.
Thanks heaps, and thanks to all the people who offered support.>>
