Suggest that she go to a LLL meeting for support and to connect to
other attachment-oriented mothers (go with her if you can). Does she
have any baby carriers and does she know how to use them? Most cities
have babywearing groups that are free or low cost so moms can learn
about the options and try various kinds out with the baby. I think
getting proficient at babywearing is crucial to attachment parenting
success. Inquire at www.thebabywearer.com to find out if there's a
group near her and offer to go with her!

Also try to find out what might refill her cup--a massage, pedicure,
or some other activity that she hasn't been able to fit in since baby
came. For those of us raised without a lot of parental body contact,
biologically appropriate baby care can be overwhelming--compassion is
in order here.
