Wonderful post !

I am seeing today a mother of a 2 days old baby. (One of my jobs is to
examine babies born at the birthing center of the third floor of this
building. I love it) As she was calling me to make an appointment for the
baby, she mentioned: "my breasts are soooo sooore". I changed my mind
from a friday visit here to a tuesday visit at home. More than "a little
sore" right after birth needs rapid attention. Maybe it is normal, then
the lady needs reassurance and education on good technique. Or maybe, the
technique needs immediate correction, so that the pain does not increase,
and the lady does keep on bf.
