Hi - I believe I wrote that post that about two years ago: Boston Children's
Hospital guidelines for surgery list breastmilk as a clear fluid, but not
formula. It was accurate then and I don't believe it has changed, though you
might want to check with Kim Barbas who is the LC at CHildren's Hospital in
Boston (sorry don't have her phone # to hand).I was impressed because my 15
month old had surgery and not only nursed 2 hours before but i put him to
breast the minute he awoke from the anasthesia
