    I like this term. I can tell which babies and moms have been
practicing breastfeeding and which ones have not when they come in for OP
consults.
    Many parents think, why bother putting baby to breast if there's
nothing there?   Practicing reinforces that it is a natural but learned
skill for mom and baby.
    I think it helps a mom lighten up on herself and her baby if the
early feedings aren't going that great.   There are reasons why some
babies do not practice breastfeeding in the early days, but if at all
possible, it is beneficial, we all agree on that!
     Just my thoughts!
