I have been teaching mothers/fathers/babies about breastfeeding for 20=20=

years. If there is one thing I have learned its that there is no one "rig=

for every mother. Several years ago I stopped teaching different holds in=

prenatal breastfeeding class. Rather, I teach the basic principals of a=20=

comfortable, assymetrical latch and tell the participants that this works=

regardless of what position they choose to use. I use as an example a mot=

that I observed a number of years ago semi-reclining in a typical hospita=
l bed.=20
The baby was latched face down to her left breast and the father was hold=
ing=20
the baby's feet pointed towards mother's shoulder! She was post-c-section=
=20
and didn't want the baby near her incision. Everyone was comfortable and=20=

happy and the baby was nursing beautifully. I'm not sure what this hold w=
ould=20
be called? :)
