You know I wholeheartedly agree with you on this aspect, but is there some
reason mom WON'T present to the ER? It seems the quickest route past an OB
that doesn't seem to care and for her to get treated.  At less than two weeks
postpartum, we can often get a dr from the L&D floor to come down to see mom
if there is an issue that needs addressing (provided it's done during
daylight hours...).  If you are in an area with a women's health clinic,
often a woman can call and do a walk-in there, as well. I hope this resolves
well.
