Joyce Blangiardo credited me with giving her the idea to use cabbage on her
husband's oral surgery. I told my son he was responsible for a man being
able to give a workshop the day after surgery :-) But actually, Sarah
Reuning and Kris Rogers preceded me on lactnet in describing their wisdom
teeth/cabbage experiences.

When I told the oral surgeon about my son's experience, I got the strong
feeling he wasn't going to start encouraging cabbage use based on one case,
so I've collected from lactnet all the stories on cabbage reducing
postoperative swelling and swelling from sprains (no engorgement stories).
There are 7 posts. I'm saving dates but eliminating all identifying and
extraneous information, and will send them to the surgeon with a cover
letter. If anyone else wants a copy of these collected and edited-down
posts, e-mail me.
