Lactnetters,

I was called by a Peds office nurse today perplexed by a call from a mom.
She had extreme vaginal dryness (presumably low estrogen) to the point that
she is unable to have intercourse.  The baby is 3 months old.  The Bab
suggests KY.  Is there any additional recommendations?

The kicker is that her OB told her to wean totally and immediately.  The OB
has a spouse who is a Ped herself. I was totally shocked at this
recommendation.
There is nothing else is the reported history that would warrant a response
anywhere near this.

Her Ped's office feels caught in the middle.  I offered to put it to Lactnet.
An immediate response on private e  mail would be extremely helpful.
