Pat:  It's worth a look at the baby's ears, even though she acts fine.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Marsha:  I was hoping that the 4 days of non-pushing, put the breast
near the baby in non-threatening situations and let her self attach and
detach when she wants would help her trust feeding again.  I suspect you
are right that being forced to have the bottle in her mouth was the last
straw.  This little one seems unusually bright, and is hard to fool,
even at 4 mos!

Marsha and Wendi:  Absolutely the mom is being encouraged to do lots of
skin to skin and slinging and never even hint to this baby that she
wants her to eat.  I hadn't mentioned co-bathing to her, thanks, I'm
going to suggest that tomorrow.

The thing that completely throws me is that this baby seems happy and
healthy, unless you ask her to feed.  Most of the time striking babies
are miserable.
