Lynne,

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I bought this bottle about a month
and a half ago. I experience intermittent periods of very low milk supply
which last anywhere from a few days to a week, and my 9 month old daughter
has refused traditional bottles, sippy cups, the Lact-Aid, and will only
take a sip or two of water from a regular cup (and won't drink any milk from
the cup at all). In December, she lost half a pound because she also
refused solid food. It was quite stressful.

In any case, I had hoped that the breastbottle would help us during these
times, but like all the others, she refused it. She just doesn't seem to
like anything that is artificial in her mouth.

I can tell you a little about it - the bottle part of it is very soft, and
when full is supposed to feel like a breast. It doesn't; it's just that the
silicone (or whatever it's made of - I couldn't determine it from the
literature) is very thin. The nipple is sort of square (like a Playtex
nurser), however, and it doesn't flatten out at all - it's rather firm, and,
I would think, does not depress or mold to baby's mouth like mom's nipple.
The threads where the "lid" screws on are very difficult to align, and it
took me quite a while to screw it on correctly. Maybe there's a learning
curve, but it surely was frustrating. I know their website has testimonials
about this bottle, but we definitely won't be adding to them. Additionally,
a mom on my daughter's birth board (at BabyCenter) who bought it said that
her husband claimed it was very difficult to hold while feeding baby. If I
recall correctly, she said she wouldn't be using it too often, if at all.

You can read more about it (and place an order) on their website:
http://www.breastbottle.com . Hope that helps a bit.
