Thanks to all those who replied to my post, both on Lactnet and to me
privately.  I will try to answer everyone!!  Now I feel ready to face the
head of the hospital.  I will use Pat's argument of how it is bad enough
that we are blatantly violating the code, but do we have to make it worse by
advertising that fact by appearing together with Similac in a public
exhibition!!  This will mark us as a formula friendly hospital and moms will
not want to come to us to give birth. ( The big bosses are always worried
about numbers.....how many births per month, etc.)
 I think this will be a dilemma that many of us will face in the future as
the companies become more aggressive in their attempts to appear
breastfeeding friendly. )Artificial milk sales have dropped 20% in Israel in
the last few years!!)
Their arguments are convincing as many of you expressed to me in your
posts.....it is better that we the professionals provide breastfeeding
information than deny the moms access to correct information by refusing to
appear, write articles in journals with formual ads, tv programs with
formula ads, etc. Why can't we work with them?  I say that by working with
them we legitamize their false claims that their milk is similar to human
milk.
  I am appearing on national tv next week on a show for parents.  I am
checking ten times that there are no unkosher sponsers on this show and will
demand this in writing.
