The FAQs addressed some of my concerns. Then I went to the 'testimonials' page. I found myself getting more and more distressed at the pictures of baby after tiny baby, asleep or awake, all alone on some surface or other, with glowing reports from the (usually) mother about how great it was that the baby couldn't break out of it and how long the baby slept. A lot of the babies had pacifiers and were propped on cushions or supports of various kinds and one was sleeping in the prone position.
I didn't realize just how distressing I found these alone-looking babies until the next to the last picture, of a father holding his newborn and loving him - the only picture of a parent with a child in a Woombie, made me cry. It was SUCH A RELIEF to see an adult holding a baby and interacting with him.
Maybe the product is great, I don't know. I found the whole marketing angle extremely upsetting and off-putting. Reminded me of that fake arm you could buy to make your baby think you were there with him, when actually you were probably having it off with your state-of-the-art electric breastpump that can CRY.

Feeling grumpy and very very outdated in Kristiansand, Norway
