I have always speculated that foremilk/hindmilk/oversupply or whatever you want to label it is usually a symptom of some underlying problem such as allergy, tongue tie, poor gut health, etc. That might cause the baby to nurse in a fashion that then stimulates an over supply. I often find that by simply downregulating mom's supply by block feeding etc  another whole set of problems occurs because the underlying cause has not been addressed.
