I posted the message from PEDTALK as an informational piece.
I felt you would like to know what they said even if you do not agree and
neither do I. I copied and pasted it and left out the writers name.
Pedtalk does have an archive so you can read the thread of the recent
breastfeeding discussion.
Even though this was a flaming letter this person wrote I felt it was still
appropriate to post because
it was posted on the leading pediatric listserve.
I feel I am part of the lactnet community and wanted to share this letter
with my peers.
There is good news in this letter Pediatricians are discussing
breastfeeding on their listserve.

I seemed to offended some people by posting this information and
since I have no intention of offending anyone except managed care providers
or hospital administrators to anyone I may have offended, I am sorry.

I do however believe out of free speech and
not sticking ones head in the sand good information and knowledge come.
I challenge some of the leaders of this list serve to read the PEDTALK
archive and
then join the listserve and share in the discussion.
