FOr our hospital gift packs we also included:

a refrigerator magnet with the immunization schedule and the logo of the
clinic (cost about 25 cents each)

2 safety guards for electrical outlets (cost about 10 cents)


(I liked the idea of the discharge packs promoting other health and safety
issues for babies -even I know there are those on the list who would rather
skip the immunization issue)

We also included a tee shirt with a pro-breastfeeding slogan.

The gift pack itself was a diaper bag similar to that used by the ABM
companies. This we bought at 4.50 per bag (It thus amazes me that the
company pays far less and what the hospital is willing to sell its soul for
a package that cost them under 5 dollars!!!!)
