The description of the mom having "feelings of sadness and doom" during MER
reminded me of what I sometimes feel right at onset of a hot flash  (not too
often anymore, thank goodness!).  It sounds to me like one of the many
idiosyncratic responses to hormonal fluctuations.  Don't know what to do
about it, though.  Miriam
