She could feed one breast only and allow the breast with the mole to "dry
up." Then once the nipple has healed she can resume feeding on that side if
she wishes, building up the supply over time. She would begin by limiting
the time on the breast that has the mole, just switching baby to the other
breast after a short feed, and the milk supply will decrease on that side.

Many OBs don't know that a woman can maintain a full supply on one breast
while the other ceases production.  I have many clients whose MDs told them
that it cannot be done.

I'm glad that she is "miffed."

And, as you know, she *can* make enough milk on one breast for one baby.
We have had stories on Lactnet of mothers feeding 2 or even 3 babies on one
breast.
