Pat do you have a reference on this needing MMR at 12 not
15 months? Current recommedation is 12-15 months. Some
HMO report cards in their infinte stupidity will look at
immunzation records and if there is no MMR given at 15
month visit count the child as not immunized even if the MMR
was given at a 12 months.
Also the repeat MMR is not a booster. As a live
attenuated vaccine it provides life long immunity. When the
first dose is given 95% of children respond and are immune.
By giving a second dose 95% of the first 5% who were
non-responders respond. That gives a final 99.5% responce.
