I agree with Dr. Jack about gentian violet as a treatment for thrush. I think
it has gotten a bad rap over the years and fallen out of favor. Too bad. As
one who has "been there, done that" I can tell you it is effective. If you've
ever been at the point where you would do ANYTHING to get rid of the yeast,
then gentian violet is a godsend. A little bit of inconvenience for RELIEF is
worth it, and I tell my moms that as well. I offer gentian violet up front as
an alternative to the creams, etc., and let them make their own decision.
