Busting Out to air on Showtime this Wednesday, October 12th!
 
Busting Out, a disarmingly honest and intimate documentary exploration of 
our society's attitudes towards breasts. Busting Out uncovers the history 
and politics of an American obsession, and how it affects women's health 
and happiness.  The film, co-directed by noted documentary producers 
Francine Strickwerda and Laurel Spellman Smith, is scheduled to debut on 
SHOWTIME Wednesday, October 12 at 11 PM - 12 AM (ET/PT) (West coast viewers 
may see Busting Out on Showtime East at 8pm - check your local listings).
 
Busting Out combines personal story-telling with devastating analysis, 
heartfelt case histories with occasionally humorous perspectives, and frank 
talk of sexual subjects with the sweet innocence of a young girl shopping 
for her first bra.  Told from the perspective of co-producer Strickwerda, 
who lost her mother to breast cancer as a child, Busting Out is a revealing 
glimpse into the world of being female.  From breast-obsessed men 
shouting "flash those racks!" to the horrors of breast cancer and the 
differences in attitudes among cultures worldwide, Busting Out leaves no 
stone unturned in its quest to demystify the American breast.  This 
documentary features a handful of Seattle area residents including 
Breastfeeding Coalition of WA, co-chair, Dr. MaryAnn O'Hara and several Le 
Leche League Leaders.
