<<Since baby is accustomed that easy faster flow of FF, how about working
toward SNS, or tube to breast supplement, as a next step to get off FF and to
breast?>>

A baby may refuse the mothers soft nipple, due to being accustomed to the
firmness of the fingerfeeding. Nipple stimulation may do the trick. If not,
try SNS or tube to shield if supplementation is needed. The firmness of the
shield along with the faster flow of the SNS or tube may facilitate the baby
off fingerfeeding and toward breastfeeding.

Dr Rob wrote: <<How do we wean the baby off the shield?>>

Later, to transition off shield, regularly try removing the shield after a few
minutes into the feeding. The mother's nipple should be more protruding and
graspable if the baby has been nursing on the shield with enough effectiveness
to extract milk consequently pulling the mother's nipple out to a more
protracted position. This gives the baby a better opportunity to be willing
and able to latch on.
