I haven't posted to the list in a while, but I've been reading and
learning with interest. Since the last time I sent anything to Lactnet
I have left my position as a hospital lactation consultant and have been
working for the past six months as an office nurse and lactation
consultant in a private pediatric office. The five pediatricians in the
practice are all very pro-breastfeeding and very open to suggestions.
However, they are also, naturally, trying to earn a living and are
therefore also open to offers from formula companies to provide them
with "free stuff," not only free formula but also free office supplies,
etc. Right now, my pet peeve is that every mother is given a pretty
little booklet in which to record her baby's height, weight, and
immunizations. On each page is a place to also record the type of
formula the baby is to be given. These booklets are given to all
patients, not just the ones who are formula fed. I know that the
doctors would be open to replacing these books with others that didn't
advertise formula, if others were available free of charge as these
are. So my question is, does anyone know of any companies or
organizations that print this kind of booklet and could provide them in
quantity to a pediatric office?

Thanks for any assistance anyone can offer.
