I was a bit sadden to learn that Dr. Garrettson was retiring. When I was
the LLL APL, we had Dr. Garrettson speak at our Health Professional
Seminar. He is a wonderful speaker (as were all the speakers we had that
day) and a great supporter of breastfeeding. To listen to him is one,
like listening to the Doctors on this list (a joy) and two, I finally
understood what were the important isssues in  medications and mother's
milk (something I wish every pediatrician understood). I agree that he
will be missed, I only met him the once - I can imagine how those who
worked with him will feel.

I only hope that he was able to pass on his knowledge and beliefs to
some other Doctors and Doctors-to-be there at Emory University.
