NO. Been looking for years. Tanita used to make one, can't find now. I think the issue on counting swallows is the size of the swallow can vary. Had a mom who said baby was swallowing at the breast. Mom's ducts were disconnected due to surgery. No milk actually getting through. Baby lost weight, of course, nipples damaged with increasing pressure and no flow. So remember the study that said that estimating intake by counting swallows was not accurate? That's why we use accurate scales. I've had babies that took in 4 ml total at 2 weeks (when I first received referral). Don't you think we were running hard after the train that had left the station? But mom thought baby was getting lots. I was happy to have the scale to help mom realize that those swallows wer not 2.5 ml swallows!

Subject: baby scales

It appears to me that Medela sells two scales $500 for the Baby Checker and $1300 approx for the BabyWeigh. big jump with nothing in the middle. The best bet seems to be to buy veterinarian scales or possibly the Seca 374 for more affordable and equally accurte scales. Does anyone else know of any good scales that are more accurate than within .5oz for under $500? They are evidently very difficult to find used, any kind except the most inferior quality.
