Dear Lactnetters and especially Jack Newman,

You wouldn't believe the stuff that I hear coming from health
professionals.  Like a woman can't nurse if she has a fever, or
a baby needs to be supplemented if he's over 4 kilos...
There are still plenty of doctors who check moms "to make sure they are
wearing tight fitting bras to prevent engorgement."  I think my favorite
is the nurse who told the mom to pump and dump after returning from an
outing so the spoiled milk wouldn't make the baby sick.
My six year old knows more about lactation than some of these medical
experts.  Come to think of it, my terrier may also...

Jack, I enjoy your chutzpa.  Maybe you have a little Israeli blood
somewhere?
