In my view, breastfeeding vs. formula feeding is not a matter of choice,
but a serious health issue. We don't give mothers a choice when it comes
to vaccinations, car seats, prenatal vitamins, no smoking or drinking
during pregnancy, but yet, we're supposed to sit back and consider it a
choice when moms choose to ABM-feed?
I'm not for making those who choose to ABM-feed feel guilt after their
"choice" but if guilt makes them choose to breastfeed, then so be it.
BTW, my first was ABM-fed after 7 months--my guilt made me make sure the
next one made it to a year (and ended up being far beyond that.)
