My 28 yr old daughter didn't eat anything until she was 8 months-not
unusual at all now but then it was a big deal-my Health Visitor(UK) told
me I would miss the window of opportunity and that she would never eat
normally if I didn't start soon-it was 'normal' then to give spoon
feedings from 3-4 months. She started with her hands and my food when
she wanted to-more experimenting and playing than eating, no problems.
What a contrast that approach of early spoon feeding to the work Gill
Rapley in the UK has done, her approach is what many mum's already knew
but were deterred from doing by HCP's and their research. All my babies
did the same the youngest is 7 and we have never had food issues.
