Dear all:

As those of us in the United States are waiting to hear the results of many hotly contested political
contests on election night, I propose that we band together and get a list that will enable us to
rate candidates on their legislative decisions and conflicts of interests towards protecting normal
infant and young child feeding.

This would include such issues as:

Do they protect independent funding to allow research on infant and young child feeding that is
not from the food industry?

How do they feel about an infant's right to feed in public rather than in the rest room?

How do they rate on protecting a woman's rights in the workplace in ways that make it easier for
her to feed her infant and young children normally?

What are their sources of funding and are there conflicts of interest towards protecting these
rights?

How do they rate on the right to publish and publicize indepently researched findings on the risks
of not feeding infants and young children normally?

Etc..

Best regards, Susan E. Burger, MHS, PhD, IBCLC
