Just a note to brighten your day.
Our local WIC administrator is studying to become an LC.  She purchased
10 small semi-automatic electric pumps to rent to nursing mothers at
the nominal price of $5 per month.  (She found, however, that she had
to restrict clients to renting after baby is six weeks old, because
many moms were renting the pumps, pumping milk full time, and feeding
baby by bottle.)  She's getting a very good reputation county wide, and
I have found her to be a great resource, as there is much poverty in
this area, and WIC has a large influence.
