Its hard to really respond appropriately not knowing how high this "fever"
was. However many babies while feeding, with the increased metabolic
activity and close skin to skin contact, will have a low grade increase in
temp. Nothing abnormal about this - beats me why someone would even want to
spend the day taking their baby's temp during and not during breastfeeds.
Even if the rise in temperature was significantly high (which I doubt very
much) if the baby is otherwise happy healthy and growing, goodness knows why
weaning would be recommended.
