"DOZENS of infants in eastern China have died from malnutrition after =
being
fed fake milk formula with virtually no nutritional value....

Up to 200 babies who were fed the formula developed... "big head
disease"...Some babies died within three days of being fed the formula,
while others were hospitalized after parents discovered their children =
were
sick."

There must be more to this story. I don't think babies could die from malnutrition in only three days, could they? I think, for the formula to have caused deaths in only a few days, there must have been something in it that was specifically harmful, not just an absence of nutrients. The story could be much more valuable with more details on it. Of course, the fact that breastfeeding would have prevented these deaths, is indisputable, but knowing more about how this formula actually harmed the babies could be helpful for babies who are given some amount of formula, for one reason or another. Any ideas?
