Your drug questions are for our lovely pharmacist-- she should be back from
ILCA soon.
In reduction surgery I have seen both no milk available at the nipple (sue to
the surgery itself) and moms with normal supplies. The best avenue to to tell
her to go ahead and follow the baby with serial weight checks. Also we tell
our moms with reductions to contact us the minute they think the baby isn't
getting enough (fewer stools, decrease in wets, hungy all the time etc).
We've had a few with only partial supplies that were sufficient up to a point
then couldn't meet all of babis needs.
