We do have evidence that fear of loss negatively impacts parental 
attachment....from research on the attachment of foster parents to their 
children. The more children a carer has had and lost the less able they are 
to attach to subsequent children (and the poorer the outcomes for the 
children). There's very little research on parent-child attachment- the 
assumption has been that parents don't have an issue. I disagree.
